International Book Publishing Center (IBPC)

IBPC is a business division established by Macao Scientific Publishers (MOSP), specializes in the realm of book publishing. Its diverse portfolio encompasses various facets, including book publishing, introductions, translation, proofreading, and book sales. IBPC concentrates on a range of genres, notably academic treatises, popular science literature, personal memoirs, and corporate resources. At the heart of IBPC's mission lies the objective of revenue sharing through book publishing. Authors stand to gain enduring income streams by partnering with IBPC, while their rights and interests remain diligently safeguarded. Global Outreach: In the context of the domestic China, a dearth of market opportunities for self-funded books leads to a lack of formal issuance by domestic publishing houses. Consequently, many self-funded books remain confined to informal status. However, IBPC extends its reach internationally, enabling the publication of works abroad even in the absence of a sales market. Readers across the globe, including China, can procure and distribute these publications via overseas e-commerce platforms.

Medical  Publications:

MOSP collaborates with over 60 established publishing houses both domestically and internationally. Authors have the option to select either Chinese mainland or international publishing houses that align with their preferences and objectives. In the event that your works are intended for professional title evaluation, we strongly advise meticulous review of the pertinent regulations.

Publishing Process:

  • The publishing process is streamlined and user-friendly. Once the essential details are provided, the contract is signed, and the fee is settled, IBPC will undertake proofreading, typesetting, and cover design. Following thorough rounds of proofreading, the ISBN application will be filed. Tailored to specific requirements, we will facilitate printing and archival storage, culminating in the eventual shelving and release of the works. Throughout the process, a dedicated liaison will offer communication and guidance, affording you the opportunity to publish your works with exceptional cost-effectiveness.
  • IBPC's search service provides authors with international registration documents for their publications, along with library search certificates indicating the publication's location. These documents serve as valuable support materials. Additionally, distinguished works will be proposed for inclusion in international databases, augmenting the visibility and recognition of the publications.
  • Upon the author's execution of the sales agreement, IBPC extends an array of distribution avenues. These encompass our official website, JD.com, Tmall, Amazon, Dangdang, and other platforms, facilitating the availability of both printed and electronic editions. As stipulated in the sales agreement, authors are entitled to a profit-sharing arrangement based on sales.
  • Global Reach: The reach of international publishers extends even further, encompassing distribution across North America, Europe, and Oceania. Opting for international publishing proves advantageous when an author intends to tap into global markets or showcase their academic endeavors on an international stage. Consequently, whether releasing a printed book or an e-book, the process remains relatively straightforward. By choosing to publish internationally, authors can bypass the need to incur substantial costs for obtaining a domestic ISBN.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):

  • ISBN: Legal international publications are characterized by the presence of an ISBN number and its corresponding barcode. The inclusion of an ISBN allows works to be marketed both in physical bookstores and online. These works are also searchable through online library catalogs where the publisher is located. Search certificates can be obtained through commissioned inquiries.
  • CIP: CIP (Cataloging in Publication) is a code facilitating library classification. China's Press and Publication Office mandates that publications possess both an ISBN and CIP. Additionally, published books are required to be archived in the National Library for collection and management. In mainland China, CIP and ISBN are prerequisites, and their absence may lead to classification as informal publications. However, this rule isn't universally applicable. Certain publications such as textbooks, educational materials, and ephemeral guides aren't subject to collection requirements and consequently lack CIP.
  • No First Print Run:  International paper books are produced on-demand, obviating the need for a specific number of initial prints. This eliminates concerns related to first print quantities and inventory costs. Authors aren't burdened with extensive printing expenses. If any errors are identified in the content following international publication, corrections can be implemented for a modest re-examination fee.
  • No Pre-review: Unlike Chinese mainland publishing, international publishing doesn't necessitate pre-publication reviews. Instead, the focus is on post-publication distribution restrictions. International publishing profoundly respects the author's intentions, refraining from making any content changes unless the material contravenes international law.
