Each year, over 100 million young individuals from across the globe actively engage in various science and innovation endeavors, with more than 30 million of them hailing from China. These endeavors yield an annual output of over 50 million scientific and technological works, directly inspiring the participation of approximately 700 million individuals in youth-centric science and innovation initiatives.Given the extensive involvement and wide-ranging participation, youth-oriented science and innovation activities have emerged as a pivotal conduit for future science popularization. Macao Scientific Publishers, with its vision set on Macao as a worldwide hub for youth science and technology innovation, endeavors to establish an international platform for youthful scientific and technological innovation. This endeavor aims to provide an equitable and impartial arena for knowledge exchange between Chinese youth and their global counterparts.The Youth Science and Technology Innovation Center (YSTIC), a division of Macao Scientific Publishers, holds the mandate for steering youth-focused science and technology innovation initiatives.
《Future Scientists》 & 《Future Innovators》
A significant portion of young people's scientific and technological innovation efforts worldwide remain insufficiently documented and disseminated, thus failing to fulfill a central role in advancing science communication and education. YSTIC addresses this gap by inaugurating the inaugural specialized periodical dedicated to the realm of youthful scientific and technological innovation. This initiative seeks to foster comprehensive exposure for these endeavors. YSTIC directs its focus towards several key dimensions within the spectrum of scientific and technological innovation accomplishments, encompassing scientific and technological achievements, innovation-oriented videos, practical applications, science fiction literature, and science and technology guidance. These facets are all eligible for publication within our youth-centric magazine. At the core of YSTIC's authority lies the principle of independent evaluation. We are committed to instituting scientific review panels spanning diverse domains, tasked with the impartial assessment of young individuals' contributions, free from external influences originating from governmental or corporate entities. Our authoritative standing is fortified by a threefold approach: firstly, by constructing panels of authoritative and proficient scientific reviewers, thereby enlisting evaluations from domain experts; secondly, by hosting the annual Innovation Conference for Future Scientists in Macau, where esteemed luminaries convene to confer accolades; and thirdly, by cultivating a platform for upcoming scientists that provides an unobstructed avenue for discourse and disseminating a publicly accessible curriculum tailored to the youth.
MOSP has established two international journals, Future Scientists and Future Innovators, with a distinct focus on nurturing the scientific exploration and innovative endeavors of young individuals. These journals actively invite submissions from youth around the world, embodying an ethos of inclusivity. While published primarily in English, a Chinese electronic version is also provided to facilitate accessibility and knowledge exchange within domestic spheres. To cultivate internationally recognized academic journals tailored to the teenage demographic, the following guiding principles are upheld:
1. Academic Integrity: A testament of personal contribution is requisite to affirm one's autonomous involvement.
2. Expert Evaluation: Each article undergoes scrutiny by three expert reviewers, ensuring a thorough evaluation of its content.
3. Standardized Format: Adherence to a prescribed format is imperative for all submissions. Accompanying figures are obligatory, enhancing the comprehensibility of the content.
MOSP offers a streamlined submission process. Authors and educators can complete the designated form and proceed to submit their work via the official system. The evaluation outcome will be communicated within a span of 30 working days, culminating in the finalization of the submission. To acknowledge the accomplishment, a certificate of acceptance will be conferred upon each successful author, attesting that their inventive and creative accomplishments as young scientists have garnered expert recognition.
MOSP is grounded in the tenet of public benefit, eschewing mandatory fees or any other form of constraints. Concurrently, to uphold the journal's quality, we have established optional paid services and dedicated sponsored sections. These include provisions such as translation and refinement services, retrieval assistance, training offerings, among others. We have also designated advertising spaces for counseling organizations. We anticipate the active involvement of local governmental bodies, educational bureaus, science and technology associations, schools, and business training teams in championing the publication of youthful achievements in science and technology. As an expression of gratitude, we pledge our commitment to furnishing complimentary support through special issue coverage for youth-focused initiatives spanning diverse districts. The bedrock of MOSP's authoritative framework lies in the practice of independent evaluation. To this end, we are resolute in assembling scientific review teams encompassing diverse disciplines, entrusted with the impartial assessment of young individuals' contributions, devoid of external interference from governmental or commercial entities. We channel our efforts towards establishing authoritative standing through three primary avenues:
1. Establishment of an Authoritative and Proficient Scientific Review Team: This team, consisting of experts spanning diverse domains, is instrumental in furnishing critical evaluations;
2. Annual Future Scientists Award Ceremony: A pivotal annual event held in Macao, wherein distinguished luminaries confer prestigious awards;
3. Formation of a Future Scientists Forum: An interactive platform designed to furnish young individuals with open channels and publicly accessible courses, thereby facilitating dissemination.
A pivotal endeavor undertaken by MOSP is the organization of the annual International Youth Science and Technology Innovation Conference, hosted in Macao. In tandem with the Macao International Science and Technology Expo, we will establish a dedicated venue for youth science and technology activities. This space will host a spectrum of events including science and technology salons, educational sessions, exhibitions of scientific and technological works, as well as the annual awards ceremony to celebrate excellence. Distinguished individuals will be invited to preside over the award presentation, thereby setting a global benchmark for youth-oriented science and technology innovation conferences. Another instrumental initiative by MOSP is the inception of the Future Scientists Forum (FSF). Following training sessions, standout works will be invited to partake in the FSF tour, which encompasses exclusive lectures and immersive hands-on experiences led by experts in science communication. FSF aims to furnish a platform wherein a greater number of young individuals can engage in the practice of science and technology discourse, further advancing science communication and inspiring the budding minds with enlightenment in science and innovation.
MOSP extends a cordial invitation to experts from diverse fields to collaborate with MOSPBS as our science communication specialists. In this capacity, your role would encompass the evaluation of scientific papers contributed by young individuals, as well as active engagement and guidance within the realm of related science communication initiatives. As a gesture of gratitude for your participation in this philanthropic endeavor, we shall issue an honorary appointment letter to each expert. Additionally, we confer annual awards for science communication efforts and bestow other honorary certificates. Furthermore, we extend an invitation for you to join our council, facilitating your profound involvement in shaping the trajectory of youth-centric science and innovation activities. Finally, YSTIC extends encouragement to qualified science communication experts to design and deliver compensated science communication lectures and scientific innovation training. Relevant lectures and training programs will be seamlessly incorporated into our catalog of fee-based services.
MOSP extends an open invitation to all organizations, counseling units, and individual entities to collaborate in the realm of youth science and innovation activities, thereby collectively forging a world-renowned platform for international youth science and innovation endeavors. We eagerly seek partnership from the following units/teams:
1. Organizers of youth science and technology events or related competitions;
