Conferences and Training

International Conference and Training Center:

      The International Conference and Training Center serves as the operational arm responsible for overseeing the conference and training initiatives of MOSP. This center primarily assumes the coordination of conference-related endeavors, including academic seminars, technology salons, business forums, and similar events conducted within Macau. Our well-established partnerships with entities such as The Venetian, Macau University of Science and Technology, and local travel agencies have cultivated a deep understanding of the distinctive methodologies required for orchestrating successful conferences in Macau. Our training activities continue to be oriented towards fostering scientific and technological engagement among young individuals. Our core focus lies in providing hands-on training in science and technology to empower the youth. Furthermore, we offer specialized training programs geared towards enhancing the research and technological skills of young professionals.

Advantages:

       Macau stands not only as a premier destination for tourism but also as a thriving hub for conventions and exhibitions. Annually, Macau hosts over 1,000 exchange and business exhibitions, making it a prime choice for hosting conferences.

The following factors outline the advantages of selecting Macau as a conference venue:

  • Efficient Visa Procedures: Macau extends visa-free access to passport holders from more than 60 countries, simplifying entry for participants;
  • Robust Transportation Network: Macau, alongside neighboring cities in the Greater Bay Area like Hong Kong, boasts a well-connected and comprehensive transportation network;

  • Versatile Conference Facilities: The city provides diverse options for meeting venues. High-profile meetings can be seamlessly accommodated within hotels, while academic gatherings find suitable spaces within university campuses;
  • Cultural and Leisure Experiences: In addition to the conference agenda, delegates can relish in the leisurely cultural experiences Macau offers, enhancing the overall conference journey.

Technology and Innovation Training:

       MOSP has meticulously crafted an assortment of training programs tailored to young scientific innovators and budding researchers. These courses span both complementary free offerings and fee-based options, available in both offline and online formats. Our training initiatives encompass a wide spectrum of subjects. For Youth Science and Innovation endeavors, we are introducing comprehensive training modules encompassing science and technology research methodologies, publication strategies, effective communication of scientific knowledge, and patent drafting techniques, among others. Dedicated training programs have also been developed for emerging young researchers. These encompass professional courses that encompass pivotal topics such as research topic selection, project proposal drafting, and a diverse array of experimental techniques. A comprehensive outline of our training courses is available on the MOSP website. Our training curriculum is bifurcated into two primary domains: Scientific Research Foundations (encompassing topic exploration, paper publication, academic presentation, and project proposal drafting) and Scientific Research Techniques (comprising experimental proficiencies and research methodologies pertinent to disciplines including biomedical science, materials science, and physical chemistry).
      MOSP cordially invites industry professionals to collaborate as contracted instructors, thus contributing to our training initiatives through either compensated or voluntary means. By partaking in these collaborations, instructors can share in the training proceeds. Our evaluation process for cooperative training programs encompasses multiple factors, including the level of expertise, receptiveness, course duration, and the unique requirements of students. Selected collaborations will be integrated into our extensive training curriculum for widespread dissemination.
